Mother Domnica Dumitrescu is remembered by her disciples as a worthy abbess of the Namaesti-Muscel Monastery in Romania. She was from Targoviste, and she began her monastic life at a young age. During the 30 years of service as a disciple of the old abbess, Mother Glafira Antoniu, she showed obedience and meekness. In 1907, after the repose of the abbess, Mother Domnica Dumitrescu was elected as the new abbess.

During the 31 years of leadership of the Namaesti Monastery, Mother Domnica laboured day and night for the benefit of the congregation and the salvation of her spiritual daughters. She also worked hard for the rebuilding of the churches and the cells that had burnt during the First World War. Being full of wisdom, she gathered several disciples whom she raised and taught to live in the fear of God. In 1938, abbess Domnica fell asleep in the Lord peacefully, at the age of 80.

• If one of the nuns suffered a temptation, Mother Domnica would immediately say to her: "Sister, when you commit a sin, blame yourself, and not anyone else, so that you may have more peace."
• At other times she would say: "Through sin, God's grace departs from us. And jokes—even thought they do not make God's grace depart—do not allow you to advance spiritually."
• If there was any disagreement between her disciples, she would advise each one of them, by saying: "Sister, struggle with all the powers of your soul to find guilt in your own heart so that you may never hate anyone, for in the Gospel haters are numbered among the murderers. Lord, protect us against such a condemnation!"
